The Minnesota Grizzly Bear

Roaring about life since 2009

No fatalities for MN

As a hunter, this makes me feel pretty good.

For the first time since 1973, no hunters were killed during the deer gun season this year. Mike Simonson reports that this was only the second time that’s happened in the past 100 years.

No hunting fatalities in 2009 deer hunt, second time in a century

I also had no idea that the word ‘nimrod’ meant ‘a hunter.’  Weird.

–noun 1. the great-grandson of Noah: noted as a great hunter. Gen. 10:8–10

 2.  (sometimes lowercase) a person expert in or devoted to hunting.

Dictionary.com – Nimrod

There’s the word of the day everyone, now go listen to Green Day.  teehee.

Have it good,

-Mike

  1. That’s pretty cool. I’ve never been hunting before but we’re talking about planning a kindred hunting trip eventually.
